Picto-Amrita, the knight, is immune to all elements (except Light).Galahad has a passive ability that substantially reduces your chance to critically hit him.Once you have two of them down, it should be very easy to stabilize and whittle away his health. Defeating Galahad is quite easy once his friends are no more.I find it easier to just incapacitate him or let Lily do so, but the option is on the table. Reprisal can be cleared off with the Freelancer ability Square One, if you're really that worried about it.
I don't know his other status susceptibilities offhand, but encourage you to experiment a bit. Water damage for poison, lightning for paralysis. Red Mages can also do this with Nuisance. You might try dedicating a Black Mage's first couple of turns to poisoning him so that you can bleed him out while using a more default-centric strategy to remain healthy. Galahad himself is susceptible to poison in addition to paralysis.Galahad likes to inflict Blind, so make sure your physical attacker(s) can't be blinded.800 health is nothing to sneeze at, and the defenses are worth about two armor upgrades. I believe the store also sells Earth Charms by this point, which I found tremendously useful in my run as a nice chunky defense boost. You can capture the monster "Petunia" in the woods over by where you fought Lily it can cast Banishra, which deals quite a bit of Light damage. You can add in the Attack Item Amp passive to boost their power up another half. If you've picked up any "Direct Moonlight" or "Direct Sunlight" along the way, this is the place to use them - they do a respectable chunk of damage to all three adds. Not losing turns makes the fight much, much easier. Definitely check the shop for anti-paralysis accessories.
Hopefully they are somewhat of use to you. Otherwise, here are some tactical thoughts. You definitely don't need to push to 12s, but if you're just dead-end stuck it will give you a major power boost to get one or more characters up there. I recommend trying to do it without grinding! If you do decide to grind a little, target passives that you think will be useful to your characters based on their roles.
TL DR: Galahad has me stuck and I can't figure out how to solve the puzzle that is his fight, do I need to grind or do I have the tools to beat him already. So I don't know how much help it'd be.Įdit 2: I would also prefer to avoid spoilers if possible, though I suppose this doesn't apply here except toward the details of the gambler sidequest.
